A function was organised at Governor House Karachi to award scholarships to deserving students for higher education in collaboration with the private sector and charities. US Consul General Robert Silberstein and other dignitaries also attended this programme.
Addressing the function, Governor Imran Ismail stressed on the importance of higher education and said that the vision of the Prime Minister of Pakistan was to further improve the quality of education in the country and no any student would be deprived of education merely due to some problem.
He said that all the children who wanted to pursue higher education should benefit from this scholarship programme and play their role in the development of the country by pursuing higher education.
The governor thanked the US Consul General and said that with the support of the US government, the provision of quality education in 106 schools is being ensured and will be further enhanced in the coming days.
